RECENT LOVE STORIES

Selah + Lucas

  • It all began in 2012 when Lucas moved to San Clemente and met Selah—the very first girl he was introduced to in town. From the start, there was an undeniable spark. Though their chemistry was immediate, life had its own timing. Selah left for college to pursue nursing while Lucas stepped into his professional baseball career. The years that followed took them in a hundred different directions—DMs here, a few Snapchats there—never anything big, but always enough to keep the thread between them from breaking. And when Selah returned home after volunteering as a nurse in Africa, and Lucas came back during the off-season, the timing finally aligned with the connection that had quietly remained all along. From that point on, everything simply clicked.

Across every chapter since—San Clemente, San Diego, Nashville, West Palm Beach, and now Clearwater—they’ve built a life rooted in partnership. Through long-distance seasons, 12-hour night shifts in the Pediatric ICU, stadium lights, cross-country moves, and the steady evolution of adulthood, they’ve shown up for each other again and again. And when it came time to propose, it was perfectly them: no grand spectacle, just a quiet evening at home, good red wine, homemade bolognese simmering on the stove. Somewhere between stirring the sauce and pouring another glass, Lucas got down on one knee. Pasta sauce, happy tears, and a simple question that had been years in the making—the beginning of forever, exactly as it should be.

Mr + Mrs Dicochea

  • Francisco and I met on a rainy night in South Dakota on a ball field. We were both playing coed softball on opposite teams (of course my team won). He introduced himself the following day and asked for my min number ( I told him no haha). Sooner or later, we went on our first date. He picked me up on his 04’ jeep wrangler with the top down. Little did I know I was going on the first date with my husband. We played miniature golf where we both found out just how competitive we both are and then went to dinner. The evening ended at a little brewery where we just talked to whole night. It was the best first date either of us had ever experienced and we didn’t want to end. Francisco and I have been inseparable ever since. He is truly my best friend.

Mr + Mrs Davis

  • Joe and I met on a night out, while he was working in the town I grew up in. He had a crazy schedule but we kept in contact. When we found out his job was ending earlier than expected we were together every chance we got! A few of our first dates were dinners, bowling and going to a San Francisco Giants baseball game. We ended up making it a tradition to go to at least one Giants game a season. A few months in, we would jokingly tell each other (and everyone around us) that we were going to get married. It soon became clear that it was not a joke and we were definitely going to get married one day and now our day has finally come!  The rest is history and we have been inseparable ever since!
